No Pressure

My grandma has been living with us for about a month now. She has onset dementia/Alzheimer's, so she's kind of like having a toddler around. Especially so when she comes into the living room the other day saying she had a nightmare. I followed her back to her bed to comfort her and help her settle in. Her nightmare? Floods, fires, and winds, and she couldn't find her way home. She's been rather insulated, but there's no denying she is as scared about the climate changing as you can be.

I'm not interested in debating climate change. The evidence is so overwhelmingly clear that it's happening, and it doesn't really matter to me how much is human-made or not. The Earth IS warming and there are things we can do to lessen it. If we don't my grandma's nightmare will become a chilling reality for everyone. It already is for millions of people.

I am not adequately equipped to help combat this climate crisis, but it matters deeply to me, and I want to do more. To that end I applied and was accepted, to go to the Climate Reality Project leadership training March 8-10. After completing the training I will join the Climate Reality Leadership Corp which is a commitment to 10 climate leadership actions over the next year. The training is free, but I do need to pay for travel and lodging. I'm looking at $300 for a bus ticket and hotel for 4 nights. I'm asking for your support to help me raise the funds by buying from either my Etsy or Redbubble stores. I specifically have this design that was inspired by the film How Hot is it Going to Get. If the world warms by 2 degrees Celcius we will see temperatures as high as 131 degrees Fahrenheit. We have until the year 2050 to significantly lower the warming of the earth or else it will be nearly impossible.

Please support me by purchasing something, and spreading the message.

I have this scar on the side of my head. I think it looks pretty cool, it’s a sort of crescent moon shape, and when my hair is short enough it’s pretty visible, like, hard to miss. So, I get asked abo
